“The experiences children go through are crucial in shaping the adults they will become.
A happy childhood filled with love, security and encouragement, as well as stimulation and excitement for the senses and the
imagination, allow a child to develop self-esteem, self-confidence and a positive, optimistic attitude to life.

Imagination and creativity, inextricably linked, enter into every aspect of life. All creative acts start with the imagination
of their creator – to be creative, you must be imaginative.
We all have an innate need to be creative, and unless this need is satisfied from childhood onward, part of us will remain
frustrated and unfulfilled.”
According to Bredekamp and Copple, “Play provides a context for children to practice newly acquired skills and also to
function on the edge of their developing capacities to take on new social roles, attempt novel and challenging tasks and to
solve complex problems that they would not (or could not) otherwise do”
At Creating Confident Kids we focus on inter-active workshops involving children in all areas of the games that we play.
The core purpose of this, being to increase self-esteem, self-confidence, enjoy role play, promote positive social skills,
team work and the “Art of Sharing” and patience.
At CCK we use a combination of games, reading, relaxation techniques and one on one mentoring and Life Coaching, to
assist your child in harnessing their true potential.
These workshops are run by the Founder and Director, Tracy Whitehead. Tracy has many years experience in the Corporate
field (and more often than not working with adults is far more challenging than working with children ;-). Realising that this
was not her passion Tracy completed her certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and as a Performance Coach, and now
gets to coach not only adults but children as well. Even more important than this Tracy is also a mother of three lovely girls,
Samantha 12, Lauren 8 and Caitlin 5, as well as being a mum to a wonderful step-son,14 year old Shannon. |
